About Cortney
Welcome, my name is Cortney Whitebay and I am an Exercise Physiologist. I received my Masters Degree in 2009 from Adelphi University and have been practicing my craft ever since. I have an in-depth understanding of how the body works when it is placed under the stress of exercise and I use my knowledge to work with every client I have to give them the best workouts possible.
I started my athletic career in high school where I ran middle distance track and cross country. In college I both rowed for and coached Stony Brook University’s Crew Team. Crew is by far my favorite sport to participate in closely followed by cycling and running events.
After coaching I got into personal training in the Hamptons and then in Dublin Ireland! If there is one thing that doesn’t change much across the pond it’s a good spin class.
I also spent two years conducting Cardiac and Pulmonary Stress Tests for patients suffering from cardiovascular disease and am lucky enough to also be able to work with patients who have pulled though it all and entered Cardiac Rehabilitation.
As part of my mission to aid my clients in achieving their ultimate health and wellness goals I also offer personalized nutritional coaching to help them reach their personal weight and health goals.
I also provide prenatal and postpartum exercise instruction and support. For women who are looking to start or maintain a level of fitness surrounding their childbirth. Studies have shown it’s safety and success in maternal/fetal health and I would like to help facilitate women’s feeling of health and beauty during these ever changing times in our lives.
